Britains top tourist attraction Blackpool`s Pleasure Beach is a real must see, if you like white knuckle rides then try out Europes largest roller coaster, the Pepsi Max [or the Big One as its often called] is 238ft [almost 80 metres] high, or one of the other stomach churning treats that await you here, but dont forget the older more traditional rides like the Grand National and the old Big Dipper, still scarey and giving you a taste of what `white knuckle` used to mean
there are areas of the park designed for small children with slower rides and good play areas, and enough food stands to replace 20 times over whatever you lost after riding the big coasters
on the 42 acre site are numerous bars and restaurants, and theatres with Vegas-styled shows, and if the chill winds from the Irish Sea havent cooled you enough theres also an ice rink, which also stages fabulous shows on ice
the Pleasure Beach has been here since 1804, look out for the old amusements and rides dotted about the site, the oldest, Sir Hiram Maxim's Flying Machine, is still in use daily
