The Newlands Hotel

This hotel stood out from others we have visited as soon as we walked through the door. The hosts were so friendly we felt as though we'd known them for ever!
The food was great (we had food from their bar menu most evenings as well as breakfast), rooms were clean and we had real holiday fun. There was even some guitar/vocal entertainment from the hosts.

Unique Quality: Caters for children as well as adults. Many hotels state children welcome but they don't mean it in the same way as the Newlands Hotel. There are toys, colouring books and games to keep them entertained. The hosts talk to them as if they are people and not someone else's 'brats' (as you sometimes feel they think in other hotels).
Only a short distance (1 minutes walk) to the beach, donkeys, central pier, sea-life centre, tussauds wax works, etc.

The Newlands is small, very friendly, and licensed. It's open all year and all the rooms are centrally heated with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. I had an En-suite room - very clean, very comfortable.
The owners are great, they really make you feel at home. The hotel is only 250yds from the beach, central pier and car parks. I think this makes the Newlands the ideal location within Blackpool.

Mainly though, it's got to be Phil & Heather (the owners), i've never felt so at home anywhere else I have stayed.

Directions: Bairstow street is almost opposite the central pier (the one with the big wheel on it). If you go down the promenade with the sea on your right, pass the central pier, Bairstow is 2nd on the left - it's easy.
