THE CLIFTON HOTEL

by byungdohsuh

Is the Clifton Hotel on Talbot Square open or not? Hotel booking companies are still advertising it and some state that it has been closed for 2 years or more. No wonder business in Blackpool is so bad when nobody knows which hotels are open !!!

I checked the various sites offering accommodation in Blackpool and even though the Clifton hotel is still listed, each of the sites I looked at state that 'bookings are no longer being offered at this hotel'.

Why not book in at another hotel, there are dozens lited?

Travel Tips for Blackpool

There's two things that you'll...

by SusanneBeck

There's two things that you'll always remember when you think of Blackpool. 2 things that make Blackpool what it is today. Firstly, the 3 piers. The North Pier is the oldest of the three Blackpool piers and was opened in 1863. The North Pier is the one to the right of the tower looking out towards the sea. Facilities on this pier include an amusement arcade and theatre. A novelty to this pier and perhaps a bit more for the brave is the availability of helicopter trips from the end. Incidentally, the helicopter once belonged to the actor Burt Reynolds. The Central Pier is the easiest to spot because of its large wheel. This is the one I walked right to the end of. I was only there for a short time so didn't get to go along them all. It was amazing!! The South Pier was completed in 1893 and it is the one located nearest to the Pleasure Beach at the end of the promenade. The pier has an amusement arcade and a large bar with free entertainment. There is also now a 'mouse' ride. Sitting on the central pier in the sun, eating hot waffles with chocolate sauce and fresh cream.

A: "A number of the hotel websites such as venere, have tools to sort hotels by price point. I would start there and then read the user reviews."
