FAMOUS FISH AND CHIPS

For us visiting The Cottage is a Blackpool tradition, this little resaurant tucked away in a side street has been serving fish and chips for over 60 years. During this time famous visitors to Blackpool have eaten here and there are many signed photographs on the walls, though not as many as there used to be - I can remember a time when you could hardly see the wall for the photograhs

Its not big [seating 54 persons maximum] and it is simply though nicely decorated, there is also a take away if the resaurant is full though you can book a table in advance, recommended at weekends and in the peak holiday season. The cottage itself is over 160 years old and while it once stood alone it is now surrounded by houses. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but if you cant park close walking back to you might shen a few of the pounds you just added to your waistline oddly enough we rarely eat fish here, instead we have steak and kidney pudding which we cant get from fish`n`chip parlours in the south of England where we now live
there is no haute quisine here at the cottage, just some of the UK`s oldest and favourite fast food, well cooked, tasty and reasonably priced
