A warm welcome at a great hotel

I booked this for 5 of us after reading reviews on here, as we were visiting to watch Bradford City away wanted to make a weekend of it.
I have to say, from the moment we walked in we were treated brilliantly. I friendly welcome from Andy and he even cracked open a keg of real ale he'd been keeping for a wedding that night. Top bloke!
This, I have to say, is in stark contrast to the way you can be treated - and we have been - at various other hotels up and down the country when you reveal you're there for the match. Often you're greeted with suspicion and sometimes with what feels like downrigt contempt!
The upshot of being treated so well, is that, despite us losing 2-1 (we did have a clearly good Peter Thorne goal ruled out that had crossed the line that would have put us 2-0 up and see us cruise to a victory that would have given us the extra 2 points we needed to make the playoffs at the end of the season but I'm not bitter or anything) we had a great weekend in sunny Morecambe, helped in the main by the excellent team at the Eidsforth.
Should we be visiting again this coming September for another basement division clash, I'll be once again booking the Eidsforth.

Lovely hotel was made to feel really welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Andrew and staff very helpful. Ideally situated for pubs nearby. Never stopped in Morecambe before but was really impressed with the accomodation. Would stop here again.
Couldn't fault it and Sonic Guinness!!

Fantastic Hotel. The manager couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and informative of local area and attractions. Rooms were very comfortable and cool considering the heatwave outside. Topped off with an excellant breakfast in the morning.
Ideal Getaway.

Having never stopped in a guest house before, I didn't know what to expect but boy was I pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and owners. Made our short stay a very happy experience. And we are looking forward to staying again in the near future.
The location was ideal for the shops and surrounding area. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who made us feel at home from the moment we walked into the reception.
To sum it up we felt as though we were visiting friends. Thank-you
Mr and Mrs Simpson

We had a brilliant one night visit to Morecambe and loved the hospitality and friendliness of Andrew and Rosemary. We were welcomed immediately, given all the help and advice we needed and were entertained from the moment we arrived - don't ever change your style Andrew and Rosemary. The room was lovely and the atmosphere was so comfortable we felt at home from the minute we arrived.
friendly staff, great views, fantastic value

Stayed for 2 nights and would definately stay again, the hotel is in ideally situated for shops and pubs etc. but just far enough out so that it is quiet and has amazing views across the bay. The owner andrew is an absolute star and can't do enough for you, even giving up his night off to host a night of karaoke in the residents bar, had a great night. cheers andrew and rosemary.......great family hotel.
Can this be the same hotel as the other reviews

If you are looking for karaokee until midnight, MFI furniture and conti sheets this is the place for you.
The location is wonderful overlooking the bay and the owners very friendly but that's the only positive thing I can say about the Eidsforth.
We booked a 4 poster bed for one night a couple of weeks before we stayed and were surprised to be asked to send a cheque for £40 rather than just give our card details. When we arrived we were shown to our room to find it not quite as expected. The carpet and decor is awful. We stayed in the room depicted on the website which doesn't show the reality of an additional single bed in the room, a 'bathroom' that is a cupboard in the corner which contains an ancient shower that just about releases a trickle of hot water, the bed was an uncomfortable MFI stylee 4 poster that actually had a plastic sheet covering the mattress and lumpy rock hard pillows!!! Needless to say we had an awful night having been kept awake until midnight by karaoke. Breaksfast was served from 7.45 - 8.45 on a Sunday and was included in the £85 we paid but we didn't feel it was worth taking the chance. There was a kettle in the room and thankfully we took coffee pods as they only supply teabags and milk.
This is really a guest house that is very overpriced. We wanted to enjoy our stay at this hotel but wouldn't go back.
Fantastic!!!

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and young daughter. We booked the four poster room and was pleased to see that it had an additional single bed which saved us messing about with a travel cot. The owners, Andrew and Rosemary were brilliant and very friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely. The waiter, Joe could'nt do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. I would love to go back to this hotel in the future.
