Is there an area of Leicester where one can find many Indian restaurants. Something like Manchester with Rusholme.
If there is -- where is it located please. Also-- any recommendation sof restuarants?

There are brilliant Indian/Indian sub-continental restaurants all over Leicester (enough to visit a different one every week for a year, at least). Try Belgrave Road (my first choice, I think; has the most restaurants in the shortest distance), or Melton Road, or Narborough Road... or almost any central road! You really will be spoilt for choice.
Bobbys, on Belgrave Road, has a national reputation for Indian vegetarian food.

Belgrave road (a.k.a The Golden mile, named because of the sheer number of gold jewellry shops on that one road!) is full of Indian food restaurants, and about a 15 min walk/5 min bus journey from the city centre. I'd recommend Dakshin for south indian food, or try Sharmilee's for north indian food. Bobby's is ok, but a bit over-rated sometimes. You could also try mirch-masala and Shakoni's.
Best thing to do is to walk up the restaurant, look at the menu and see if it tickles your tastebuds! If you're wanting to go slighty further out, Indigo's is a really nice restaurant located on Troon Way in Leicester, and Flamingos on Loughborough road is also really nice, but slightly pricey. Please let me know if you need directions getting to any of these places
Welcome to Vt! You'll see that both the Belgrave Road area and Sharmilees were recommended in previous replies. But as this question dates from 2007 I suspect the OP has long ago visited Leicester, eaten and left again.

Oh dear lord, I hadn't noticed the date! I just assumed it was a recent post! Ah well, it'll give him more to think about if he decided to visit Leicester again. And I thought I'd mention sharmilee's again just to add my two pence and confirm it's a nice place :)

The original church was built some 900 years ago by the Normans. It was rebuilt and enlarged between the 13th and 15th centuries and became the Civic Church. In Victorian times it was restored and a 220ft spire added. In 1927 the building became a Cathedral.
