The Bavarian Christmas market comes to Leicester every year for a few weeks prior to Christmas. Temporary stalls are set up in the city. You can buy various crafts and German food and drink.
The New Highcross shopping centre has recently opened which has amalgamated the Shires into it. There are new shops, a cinema and restaurants in the new part of it.
