The Queens Hotel

A fantastic hotel; great food, owners and location

Me and the better half stayed here for one night in early May 2010 during a spur-of-the-moment trip to Skegness. We didn't decide to stay the night in Skegness until we got there and had a quick look up and down the Promenade to see which hotels had vacancies, given it being a bank holiday weekend. The Queens looked the most presentable, not only with its neighbours, but also the rest of the area.

The hotel is owned by a lovely couple who were very friendly and accommodating. On arrival, we paid £35 for each of us for bed and breakfast and chose what we would like for breakfast from a long list. The room wasn't the biggest, but it certainly accommodated the two of us for the night. It was clean, tidy, comfortable, had plenty of storage space and a balcony that looked out onto the road, pleasure beach and coast.

Breakfast was fabulous. Two courses; a bowl of cereal followed by a full English cooked to the highest standard, very nicely presented and totally delicious in a very nice downstairs restaurant.

In conclusion, this hotel provided a fantastic night with a equally brilliant breakfast, while being owned by a very friendly couple in the middle of Skegness's attractions for a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel time and time again.

Unique Quality: Great views of the sea and sea front, very friendly owners, excellent nearby entertainment and bars.
