Not first class but OK

We stand at the Dolby hotel. It is situated south of Albert Dock (at Queens Dock). Around the Albet Dock are a lot of Hotels. (Holiday Inn Express, Ibis etc.). If you are walking from the Albert Dock it is the last on this street. It is clean and not expensive. So it is OK but it is not the best hotel in Liverpool.

Unique Quality: Don't ask for the bus to the Airport! The staff send us to a busstop, where no buses to the Airport stoped.
...so we had to drive by taxi

Looking for a good budget hotel near the stadium and what is the best way to get from the lime street station to the Hotel.. Can I walk from the hotel to the stadium.. Any help is much appreciated..

Mohsin, there are no hotels that I could recommend within walking distance of the stadium. Most people stay in the city centre and travel to the ground. On a Saturday I think you can take the Southport, Ormskirk or Kirkby local train one stop to Sandhills. This takes about ten minutes. You can then board the Soccer Bus to the ground. The Mersey trains run on a different network from the London trains but you can access this from several places in the city (Central station and Moorfields) or by a connecting walkway from Lime Street station. Alternatively you could take a taxi or a bus.
In terms of city centre hotels the Premier Travel Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Dolby Hotel are all in the city centre and quite resonable. If you are on a tight budget there is also a new Youth Hostel (YHA) near the Albert Dock in the city centre.

Hi,
Your probably best to stay in the city centre as the area around the ground is not very interesting. Try the Formula 1 Hotel (25, Wapping) This is in the city centre a bit basic but a bargin at about £25 a night. Alternatively try the Premier Travel Inn bit more expensive but also good value. There is also the Youth Hostel which is new and again pretty cheap. Hope you have a good stay and LFC work their magic!
