This hostel may have started off well but it has certainly deteriorated badly ! It has major infestations of MICE and BED BUGS. The place is filthy, leaks in rain and the insufficient COLD showers leak through into the food areas. It is a haven to groups of drunks running wild and creating constant noise all night. There is only one good staff member who is an older man there of a morning, polite, strict and well informed on local attractions and events etc.,while the rest are lazy volunteers who stay long term there.
My recent stay was awful and most importantly, my female travelling companion was repeatedly harrassed by some sleazy in house Australian sex predator, also on the staff !
All in all it should be closed down !!
Unique Quality: A drunks paradise. A mouse and fleas breeding ground.
Directions: University Area.
THE PEOPLE THAT WORKED THERE AT THAT TIME WERE KIND....I REMEMBER ONE OF THE GIRLS THERE HAD A BOYFRIEND THAT PLAYED GEORGE IN A BEATLES BAND....IT WAS FUN HEARING THEM PLAY BEATLES SONGS...
THE PLACE WAS A BUSY PLACE AT TIMES ..AND ALSO VERY RELAXING AND SOMEWHAT QUITE OTHER TIMES...
AT THE TIME I WAS THERE IT WAS 12 POUNDS A NIGHT...GREAT PRICE I THOUGHT. ..FOR ENGLAND...
Unique Quality: A LOT OF BEATLES FANS THAT WENT THROUGH THERE...
EVEN ONE TIME A GUY AND HIS MOM WERE STAYING THERE AND HEADED TO AN AUDITION FOR THE LIPA SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY!!!! LIPA IS THE SCHOOL PAUL McCARTNEY HAD BOUGHT ,,,...THAT WAS THE SAME SCHOOL PAUL AND GEORGE HARRISON HAD GONE TO.WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG.....
Directions: NEAR WHERE JOHN AND CYNTHIA HAD A PLACE.......

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME. I'M LOOKING FOR A NOT EXPENSIVE HOTEL IN LIVERPOOL, AND MORE ABOUT WHAT I CAN DO. ANY HELP FOR ME........!!!!!!!??????????
Try looking up hostels, otherwise your cheapest bets will be travelodges, holiday inns and the like.
I have never been to Liverpool, but generally everywhere in the UK, the prices tend to be the same for the cheeaper ones.
Good Luck
Hello,
Liverpool now has a serious shortage of hotel space, and a major shortage of small hotels/guesthouses. Many city centre apartments are now being used as hotel accomodation. If you just turn up you may have to sleep rough!
Generally, as with most uk cities hotels are a rip-off. Try ALL the usual hotel booking sites. The Adelphi is a huge Edwardian pile, once the Ritz of the north, now in a very sorry state, often overcharges but can be cheap due to number of rooms.
I think there are cheap hotels by the docks such as Formula1 and Campanille.
As for what you can do ... what do you want to do?
Just done a quick check on exp... adelphi is overcharging again. you may need to change hotels ie one night at x another at y. Lord Nelson Hotel is handy.
Hello,
maybe check Campanile Hotel Runcorn. It's not in Liverpool directly, but it's close to John Lennon Airport, it's situated right next to a railway station and it's quite cheap, also. We've stayed there for one night back in April and it was alright. Can't say anything about the breakfast though; we had to leave too early to check it out.
Another very helpful homepage is: www.hotelsofliverpool.com
The YHA near Albert Dock is very nice, I stayed there with a friend and we got a family room to ourselves with en-suite and TV, we also got a free breakfast (we left early for a ferry so they wrapped it up for us).
It has 24 hr access too.
