More about Novotel Liverpool
Stayed here Friay and Saturday (5th&6th) as we were going to see Yusef at the echo arena and got a great deal online for an executive suite and breakfast (£79 per night). The hotel itself is situated 2 mins walk from Liverpool 1 (city centre) and five mins walk from the echo arena ,also close to Mathew Street for bars and clubs. We checked in and then taken and shown our room which was a good size with queen size bed ( very comftable) couple of easy chairs, wardrobe , safe , mini bar , tea making facilitys (more milk and tea bags on request) a lovley bathroom with seperate loo.The hotel is bang upto date with wireless internet avalable (at cost) in your room and free useage in the hotel lobby. The hotel entrance is manned by security who are very helpfull with directions , shouting a taxi etc...... . Breakfast is served from 8-12:00 with lots of choice and high quality, anything else just ask the very helpfull and efficent staff most of whom are multi-lingual , the bar prices for drinks we found very resonable for a hotel and again the service was execlent im sure the staff jump would jump up and down on the spot if it was what you wanted , talking of staff the was absolutly loads of them appart from Sunday morming .
The only downside to stopping here was the positioning of the toaster just got in the way at breakfast and needs repositioning so i wont be booking here again....lol .
Quite possibly the best hotel in Liverpool city centre we had an execelent time and didnt want to leave thankyou all.
If anyone is reading this and thinking of booking just type''Novotel Liverpool'' into your search bar for discount prices.
p.s we ate at Simply Heathcoates on friday night the best food i have eaten and again fantastic service please see seperate review.
Great Hotel, just a couple of minor problems
Stayed there for 1 night this week end when we went to a concert at the Echo Arena. We arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock we went to see if we could leave our bags there, but they said we could have our room already. Took least that 5 minutes to check in. Room was lovely, I think we had a larger room than we booked, a very large bathroom with the one of the biggest showers I have every seen. The floor do get wet but it didn't take long to clear up. We went shopping and then went back for a meal before the concert, very nice meal, my steak sandwich could have been warmer but I didn't complain but I'm sure they would have sorted it very quickly if I had. The lady behind the bar who took our order was very friendly and helpful and the waiter was very quick and good at his job too.
Only a couple of things spoilt a perfect stay. There wasn't a bin in the toilet, which I thought was a cupboard until I realised it wasn't in the bathroom. Also the mini bar, it stated prices on the door for beer and choc etc, but there wasn't any beer or chocs in there it hadn't been filled up. We didn't want anything but I worried they would think we had, they need a list of things that should be in there so the guest can check. I called down and told the receptionist and she said it had been noted and we told them again when we left. My hairdryer stopped working, but when we got back from the concert it was working again, I don't know if they had been up to mend it or my husband said it could have been an automatic cut off.
We didn't have breakfast, we thought it was a bit pricey too, but we didn't have time anyway, but I think we would have the breakfast if we went again.
For £65.00 its great. I had booked it on line and prepaid it, but was told it wasn't taken at the time so they took it again. Got to check my account to see if it did go out, I can't remember it going out so I its ok.
4 star hotel at a 3 star price
A modern hotel sited right in the town centre. We only stayed for 1 night to watch the footie match, but was well impressed with the hotel facilities. Internet points in the downstairs, wi fi games for kids, spotless rooms and very helpful staff. I realise this is a new hotel but the current staff look well capable of maintaining it.
We stayed here for 2 nights. We checked in and asked the receptionist what time breakfast was at. She said you are room only, but we told her to check that as we had booked bed and breakfast on the Internet. She did check and apologised. We went to 10th floor room. It was a nice room but there was a bad smell coming from bathroom. We went back to reception and were told that noone else had complained about the smell. They moved us to another 10th floor room. Unfortunately the door in this room was broken, so we had to move again. The ice machine on our floor wasn't working so I asked for ice at reception. The girl at reception said that no one else had reported the ice machine broken!!!! But she did send up a filled though mostly melted ice bucket.
Breakfast was really nice and well organised. Also hotel in great location. Would give this hotel another try if we got a good rate again.
lovely modern hotel with a great location
nice modern hotel with all amenities.went for football match and would definately stay there again.didnt eat there so cant comment on food but location meant that it was easy to find somewhere to eat.it was perfect for city centre, beside O Neills bar,Liverpool one and nightlife.Staff were friendly and approachable.Everyone enjoyed their weekend None of the crowd of us had any complaints. All in all a great place to stay!
Consistentency and comfort.
Stayed here for new years eve/day which is clearly a difficult time for hotels, especially for hotels in the centre of Liverpool - close to the bars, however, even though the hotel was clearly understaffed they managed to pull it off with fantastic, warm service which is a testament to the staff themselves but to the manager. As i said in the title, the level of service and amenities was very consistent - which was surprising as with many new establishments i have stayed in the service and the hotel physically have been messy and unorganized, the hotel even made step to prepare for the onslaught of drunken guests (i.e. increasing the duration of breakfast)
Room was cosy and clean with all the features that you would expect from a 4 star city hotel. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection and i highly recommend it. The hotel has a fitness centre, the pool is lovely with a steam room. Area is very clean and tidy, as for the gym, its pretty pointless with very little equipment also there were no clean towels in the changing area. The decor of the overall hotel was great, modern and well thought out with some very contemporary finishing touches.
There is a MSCP immediately next door which you can get a ticket for from reception, and everything else is in walking distance. There is also a Tesco next door. A Good location!
I would highly recommend booking this hotel. For a hotel that is very contemporary, i was surprised to leave with a very warm, happy feeling about the place and would definitely book again.
An excellent hotel, superbly placed
We had a weekend stay in Liverpool at this hotel. It was excellent: room clean and comfortable, bed large and comfy, bathroom superb. The staff were excellent in all respects - helpful, friendly and approachable. Hotel is very central and thus within easy walking distance of station and shops and other attractions. Thoroughly recommend.
Stayed at this hotel for a hen weekend and we couldn't fault a thing! We arrived early so when we checked in they stored our bags and check-in was very swift even though there were so many of us. The rooms were spotless and spacious. Breakfast was well organised and the food was delicious and they served it til 12 at the weekends!!!!!!!!!! Evening meal food was very good as well. The staff were excellent, very polite and informative especially one by the name of Laura Palmer. The location was excellent, we were right beside the shops and nightlife so no need for a taxi! And lastly the hotel was excellent value for money and I will definitly be going again.
Really good hotel-excellent value for money!
We went to Liverpool on a girls weekend, we struggled to find the hotel as Liverpool is all one way and we didn't know where we was going but called the reception and they were helpful in explain where to go.
Hotel car park is right next door to the hotel which is good not far to walk with bags!
The hotel reception is very modern and clean! recepetion staff are friendly and helpful, three of us girls shared a room as there is a sofa bed aswel, plenty of room for us all! when we got to the room we relised the sofa bed had not been made and there was only enough towels for 2 people so called recetion and within minutes someone was knocking with extra towels, sheet and quilt!
Location is great right round the corner from all the shops and bars!
Liverpool is a great city with loads to offer, the rain ruined it abit for us but will defo go back and will go back to the Novotel when we do! also get half price at the car park for staying at the hotel, the car park is Very secure!!
Excellent and super friendly hotel
Modern and light interior & design. Clean room, good beds. The general manager and his staff felt us welcome in their hotel as from day one. Superb service. The pool was a hidden secret in this hotel. Food was ok.
Can recommend this excellent hotel for business and leisure travellers. On walking distance from Liverpool One.
