    Really nice Hotel

    by

Radisson SAS Hotel is the ideal base from which to visit the exciting city of Liverpool. The hotel has a striking interior and tastefully designed rooms as well as a prime location for both the business and leisure traveller.

    Wow! What a designhotel!

    by

I have never bothered to buy any of those "Cool Design Hotel"-books. But this hotel must be in all of them.

When you enter the hotel, you will be impressed. It is really spacious, and almost looks like a cool scene from a Star Wars-movie or something. You can see all the floors from the reception.

The rooms are also very good, and gives you a luxurious feeling in a modern way.

The breakfastroom was the least interesting, with a rather depressing window-view.

The city center of Liverpool is surprisingly small, and this hotel is a little distance away. So the surroundings of the hotel is boring.

    Unique Quality: A wonderful designhotel.

AT LAST! REJOICE!

by TripAdvisor Member dillydobbins

At last! Rejoice!

A top class hotel in Liverpool!

Interior SO impressive - general lay-out fab - rooms a delight!

The White Bar - no need to leave hotel for snack - pop into The White Bar for delicious chunky chips and houmous! (Good value!)

Nagging doubts:

TOWELS:

Limited towels per person - eco saving water scheme?

Don't know about you but for those prices I want PLENTY of fresh towels!

(We found ourselves saving ONE fresh towel for our morning 'spritz'!)
ASK FOR MORE TOWELS BEFORE YOU UNPACK!!!!!

BREAKFAST:

Full English Breakfast & Continental far too expensive for the usual mini-jams and rolls!

We bought a bag of muesli from HOLLAND & BARRATT!!

CONCEIRGE:

Went a bit 'miffy' because we wanted to carry our own bags -

Later on when I asked for an umbrella due to sudden storm - it was presented with a scoul!:<

"CAN'T YOU PUT YOUR HOOD UP" was his response - not very professional!

MINI-BAR

£2.50 for a mini tin of Pringles (beware)

STAR*

Room service staff - delightful and genuinely friendly! (10/10)

The smartest room service team I have ever seen in corporate colours.

Only hotel I have stayed in that was 'truelly' relaxing with minimum noise FULL MARKS: - NO HOOVER SOUNDS at 7.00 in the morning!

LITTLE EXTRAS:

Added extras included an ice machine on every floor - 'freebie' products impressive and a lovely change from the usual rubbish!

Flat screen tv / radio / info etc.

THE WHOLE ATMOS.OF THE HOTEL INCLUDING THE LOCATION IS PEACEFUL AND CALM AND WELCOMING

THE STAFF AS A WHOLE - CHARMING

THE ROOMS - FAB - MODERN - SPACIOUS

THE FOOD - THE WHITE BAR - 10/10

I can't wait to return!

(Incidentally I paid the same rate for the infamous BLAKES in LONDON - THE RADISSON LIVERPOOL wins!)

Enjoy!

Gorgeous Rooms!

by A TripAdvisor Member

I've just returned from spending a weekend a the Radison SAS Liverpool and the hotel was excellent! The rooms are very contemparary, with glass doors, plasma screen TVs, and plush bathrooms. We had a view of the river which was fab.

The hotel is within walking distance to the docks where you can stroll round the shops or visit the Beatles Museum.

Overall a fantastic hotel that I wouldn't hesitate recommending.

A well thought out, modern hotel.

Stayed for two nights while visiting a friend in Liverpool. The hotel was comfy and generally very well designed.

The room was stylish, the bed comfy and there were fantastic blackout curtains to enable good quality sleep! It was also pretty well soundproofed.

The only (minor) negative was having to wait a bit for a table at breakfast on Sunday. They had also ran out of yogurt. That may have been because we left it until after 11 to get something. Which brings me onto a plus point. They serve breakfast until 12 on a Sunday.

I would definitely recommend the Radisson, the rate was very reasonable and overall we were very satisfied with the service and the quality of the accomodation.

Excellent hotel

by A TripAdvisor Member

While working in Liverpool I stayed at this hotel for a number of months and I don't have any complaints. The rooms are modern, clean and well laid out. The hotel is located in the centre of the business district and is a short walk (5 mins) from Albert docks or Liverpool city centre. The staff were very accommodating and really went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The white bar is always a good place to start a night out.

To all the staff in the Liverpool Radisson. Good job!

Stayed for one night but wished it could have been more! A spectacular building, comfortable room with a great view, lovely pool, great food and faultless service. Would highly recommend it.

SAS excellence

by TripAdvisor Member Where to go nextt

I stayed at this hotel in June for 3 nights and had a very comfortable stay.
The rooms were spacious clean & bright and ours had a good view of the Mersey and The Wirral beyond. This hotel is very modern has quite excellent pool/gym and the restraunt is also of a high standard.
The service was friendly if not 100% efficient .
The location is a 10 minute walk to the Liver Building , 15 minutes to the
Albert Dock area. The only snag is parking at the nearby NCP which is expensive and feels slightly vulnerable.
If in Liverpool again I would not hesitate to stay here again , the brand is very reliable and represents good value for money.

Triumph of style over delivery

by TripAdvisor Member ArDeDubya

This was rather a disappointment. Many aspects of the hotel were splendid, but a good few others were not up to scratch.
The welcome on arrival was OK but they didn't offer a newspaper (one should have been included in our full-price package).
Our room - a 'business class' one, was rather like a stylised travelodge room - minimal furniture - not enough drawers for a long stay and a just-adequate wardrobe - but I guess business travellers won't stay more than a few days at a time. However it was quite stylish and was clean and all of good quality. Carpets, curtains, bedhead etc all done in matching wavy colours. Nice view of the Mersey. Only real problem for us was that the walls seem to be let sound travel through easily. At 3.00 in the morning we were woken by the people next door having a blazing row, and later kept awake by them making up!
The restaurant was a let-down. The dinner menu was imaginitive and reasonably - though not cheaply - priced; the food was of good quality, nicely cooked and reasonable portions. But it was luke-warm. Every course when it came was cold on top and tepid in the middle. The waitress did not at any point ask if everything was OK and we were rather too stressed out with business to want to raise an issue - we just wanted to relax and couldn't face raising it, and hoped each next course would be OK, but they weren't. For over £80 (for two) this was not good.
The service at breakfast was dreadful. Many of the staff were foreign (not a problem if they speak English) but most had virtually no English and we had to ask for and seek out - glasses for fruit juice, milk for tea, dishes and plates on the buffet, bacon etc. The staff just couldn't keep up with the pace and we had to stop them clearing away when we just wanted milk. Only one of them seemed to be working hard from the kitchen bringing out fresh pots, utensils and food and she was completely frazzled; the rest just seemed to be in a daze. The glasses, when they eventually arrived, had just come out of the dishwasher and were very hot, and a number were cracked ot broken due to them trying to cool them too quickly (we were told).

Modern, funky place to stay

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed at the beginning of september. it was a much anticapted trip to liverpool, so i did a lot of research and booked because of the reviews on trip advisor.
The place is visually fab, i love the decor and we had a red room which was worth every penny. all the 5 star touches. Great beds really comfy and heated floors in the bathroom and really cool toiletries. The rooms are quite small, not suited for a long stay.
pool is fab, really relaxing and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. i had a devine facial, well worth the treat.
we had a small problem with food but it was very well dealt with by the wonderful bar staff and the DM. Breakfast is pricey and not worth it at all, very unorganised with no one in charge of seating and greeting, we waited for a table while all the staff just ran by like it wasn't their job.
I loved the place but one bad thing and this i feel is a huge problem in English hotels, the front office staff were very unfriendly and i found them snobby and this made me feel uneasy. we look young!!!!! and thats how they treated us and it makes it worse that we are both in the business.!!!!
We probarly wouldn't stay again, you don't pay to stay in a branded hotel to be made feel that your not good enough. its a pity as it is such a trendy hotel, i wouldn't bring anyone there. sorry!!!!!!!!!!!
