Walk around Albert dock.
by A2002
This building is called "The Liver Buildings". It is a beautiful buildings situated at Pier Head. I like the architecture of this building with a pair of Liver birds on top of the clock towers.
Built in 1911 for the Royal Liver Friendly Society, the Liver Building is still the Head Office for the Royal Liver Friendly Society. It is a place for a stroll along the water front, gazing at the beauty of these buidings.

The Tate Gallery is in the Albert Dock. It is four floors full of mostly 20th century and contemporary art. Work on show includes Miro, Henry Moore, Picasso and there is an exhibition of Turners on till September 2000.
This is one of the best galleries in Britain, in my opinion.
Beatles Museum

More like wot i missed! All Beatles fans should not however. The story of the Beatles...! In the Albert Dock area. It's about £6 entry to get in. How these people come up with disgusting tactics to earn money these days.
Fairies across the Mersey
by ClareBear about Garlands
To me Garlands is the best Club in Liverpool, there are others, but this one is the Top Banana!
Warning - It is gay friendly, so if your in a big group of lads, you are not going to get in, and if you look abit dodgy you have got no chance. Your best bet would be to grab a girl off the street who is going and go in as a couple.
When you arrive you will be searched. They know people will be off their heads in there and it is the doorman/womans duty to take anything they find on you off you.
Once you get in you have never experienced anything like it.
The music is great, there are 4 rooms. One upstairs which plays your normal dance music. This room is the funniest. There are transvestites strutting there stuff on the stages, glamour girls giving it large, well presented men (on both buses!) trying to impress the girls and boys. You really will have an excellent time here.
Downstairs is two chill-out rooms, one which plays all kinds of music, from Beyonce to Jason Donovan, the trannie DJs are so funny and join in the fun.
The other chill out room is just full of people well properly off there heads and chilling out, if thats your thing, then you'll meet loads of people and make friends in here and get invited to loads of parties after the Club has shut.
The Music in the downstair club area, I feel is a little trancy and hardcorish, but everyone in there is having an absolute wail of a time. If your a girl, the shortest skirt ever, but make sure you look classy not trashy. You have to really shake your ass in there! Bling and lots of it - false tacky bling is alright! Glamourama is the key to getting in this place.
If your a boy, feel free to dress like a woman, the more lipstick the better. You will find it easier to get in! For those men that dont feel like putting on a dress smart casual is fine (no trackies - only scallies were them and they dont let scallies in!)
Jeans are allowed in here, not sure about trainers though!

easyJet flies here from Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Amsterdam, Nice, Geneva, Belfast, London Luton and Palma (Mallorca). www.easyJet.com for bookings.
British Airways from Belfast. Ryanair from Dublin.
They are all cheap if you book plenty of time ahead. From the airport catch the 80A for the City Centre, it takes you round the houses but is only £1.20. A taxi should work out about a tenner.
Manchester Airport has flights from all over the world and is only 40 minutes away. A bus leaves Manchester airport for Liverpool every 2 hours and there are trains, though they take forever.
