I have been living in Hall for a few years as a student of the Univiersity of Liverpool and heard about this great accommodation service for individuals as well as groups. The hall of residence areas are located near the campus (5 mins walk from town) as well as in a nice area of Liverpool called Mossley Hill (20 mins by bus, 8-10 mins by train, from town centre). When you enquire about the availability via the website/ over the phone you may be able to request your preference of Halls (I guess) . You get a single room of good size and clean, shared toilet and shower/bath. The great thing about this accommodation is that if you are a student you get to pay half of the ordinary rate per night - so definitely cheaper than normal B&Bs / youth hostels. Breakfast is good that you get your cereal as well as the full english cooked breakfast served in the dining Hall.
Unique Quality: If you are on the halls located on the carnetic/ greenbank
-Great location for you to explore liverpool in town or further away from town (e.g. the palm house, sefton park)
-Good transportation - bus to Uni and town, direct train to the main station (Lime street) in Liverpool as well as direct train to Warrington and Manchester
-Safe and secure as you are on the Univerisity premises with their own security guards.
-Friendly staffs are always willing to help.
-Loads of good resturants around the area - Rose Lane, Allerton road and Penny lane are within walking distance
- 2 supermarkets very nearby - (5 mins down the road a small one and 15 mins down the road a full-sized one)
-great cooked breakfast served in catered halls
-value for money.
Directions: Campus/town centre; Mossley Hill/Greenbank
