Central location, near pubs, good events

I stayed in the hotel section of the hostel, which was around £43 a night, for a spacious double bed room with ensuite and TV/usual,
no windows and air con, so was a little stuffy at night, otherwise, staff helpful and let me through for the monday -> thursday events in the hostel, Including : Pancake breaki tuesday, scouse soup on wednesday,
Good atmosphere, and cafe/net cafe next door,,
As it goes, a good selection for liverpool

Unique Quality: Events, cafe/net next door, WIFI in hotel, location, very reasonable on price.

YHA

The YHA is advertised as a youth hostel, but in my opinion is suitable for travelers of all ages. For a decent price (especially in comparison to other hotels/hostels), you get a good shower - ensuite! - and friendly service. I arrived around 10am, and I was allowed to put my baggage in a luggage room until I could check into my room around 2:00pm. The room seemed to be in good repair, and had lockers you could use to store your luggage. However, these lockers do require your own padlock to use! (Or you can purchase one for 2.50 at reception). Since I had an early flight, I had to leave around 5am, and they packed a breakfast for me since I wouldn't be able to have the breakfast buffet. It was a couple rolls/croissants, jam, butter, and honey, as well as a piece of fruit and a juice box.

The hostel was a short walk to Albert Dock, and only ten or so minutes walking from the city centre and most of the main attractions. There was a common lounge with books and a TV, but on the whole, the hostel seemed more like a place for people looking for a good night's sleep rather than those looking for a party.

Unique Quality: Internet for 1 pound for 15 minutes, 2 pounds for 30. Security gate surrounding the building.

Another nice hostel

YHA is a hostel located close to Albert Dock. It's also only like 10 minutes away from the centre. The accomodations are clean and good, there's a shower and bathtub in every 4-person dormitory. Furthermore, there is a book swap possibility and a nice lounge on the ground floor.
The big plus is the breakfast which consists of toast, ham and eggs, bacon, sausages, croissants, orange juice and tea, joghurt, cornflakes and many things more.

Unique Quality: breakfast!!

Excelente Choice

If you are a backpacker, I have to say that this place is excelent.
The location is great, beacuse one of the universities is just around the corner, so this makes the neighbourdhood a place where you can meet tons of students and nightlife tend to be cheaper.

Staying here, gave the chance to met a wondeful people, one of them is a beatles REAL fan, I won't forget his tie and his beatle look, an Irish guy looking for a new life in England, a nice ladies traveling and the best - the drunkes guy I ever met in my life, impressively he used to get drunk with a few pints and who know why he arrived almost at the sunset.

Unique Quality: Very clear, very friendly staff and you have some choices to pick of what to do at night.
I loved this place.

Best Hostel in England

I stayed in this hostel serveral times and I can only say good things about it. O kthe area sounding the hostel is not the nicest place. But I find this hostel to be exellent. Built in 1998 it is one of the newest hostels in England all rooms are en-suite. Most rooms are 4 to 6 bedded dorms. The hostel it self the staff are friendly. They do an amazing breakfast better than you would get in some hotels. The place is always spotless. Its oppoite the Albert dock and a 10 min walk from the city center. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.

Unique Quality: Great Breakfast. Very Clean

Liverpool Hostel

This is a brand new hostel close to the city centre. It's location is opposite the albert dock (just past the lamb-banana - you'll know!!!). The staff are friendly, the place is clean and its a good place to meet fellow travellers/ backpackers.

Unique Quality: An excellent location for exploring Liverpool with breakfast included in the price.
It has 100 beds (dorms) with en suite facilities.
Lounge, kitchen, lockers, laundry
24 hour reception
