Hi,

A quick search came up with a couple of car hire companies in the area:

Hi VB

Try M D Travel, Southport on 01704-211555.
They do airport transfers from Southport to Liverpool and am sure they have minibuses in the fleet.
Regards
Chris

One of the taxi firms might have a 9 seater. I've booked a taxi for 7 passengers before.
I've booked this to travel from Liverpool to Southport, and have also booked a Liverpool Black Cab in the same direction. Each time it cost £35 - £40.
Depending how much a minibus costs, it might be comparable to get a couple of cabs, which you should manage for £8 or £9 per person. If you do, though, make sure you tell them there's 9 of you. Don't want two cars turning up who'll each only take 3.
Taxi firms which might have larger cars are (all 01704) 537777, 531000 or 544414

Silcock's Funland

by sandysmith

The Silcock Family are now in their fifth generation of providing amusement centres. This Funland Centre is Southport's largest family amusement centre. They were instrumental in the Pleasuland fun park too. Games and rides for the family and bingo if thats your thing, probably the cheapest place to get a cup of tea or coffee too! The Funland stands on the site of the old pier Pavillion - long since demolished.
