Where is the best place to visit on a stag party weekend in Southport
Dont bother with stag do in Southport especially as they have just anounced the closure of the pleasure park. Take my advise and travel further round the coastline to Blackpool the captical of Stag and hens do's in the country.There are so many bars and clubs that you'll find it hard to choose which venue to start at and which one to end up in.
Much needed redevelopment has taken place in recent years in Southport Most notably the Marine Way Bridge which was opened to pedestrians at a formal naming ceremony on the 14th May 2004 and opened to traffic from the 17th May 2004. This modern designed bridge spans the Marine Lake between the Ocean Plaza leisure and retail park and the Promenade. It also has a link onto the pier too.
Marine Lake is a lovely area, just sit and people watch or hire a boat. Either rowing boats or small motor boats.
We hired a motor boat, no chance of speeding in these those! Cost about £8 and 4-5 people can get in it. Cost was about £8 for approx 30 minutes.
I was really enjoying it, looking at the scenery until I saw a huge rat climb out of the water onto the embankment, sort of put the dampers on it. I even told the man when we returned the boat, he wasnt concerned at all though!
