Stayed for one night on June 30th but wished I had stayed more. The hotel was tucked away down a lovely drive with ivy clinging to the sides of the building. There was a reasonable sized car park which was just right for the 18 bedrooms that the hotel has. There is a bar with a small garden outside for drinkers and a seperate garden for residents at the other side of the hotel. The reception was small, but so efficient and welcoming. I wish I had taken the name of the lady who checked us in as she was wonderful, as were all the staff. There was a small lounge en route to the bar which was furnished extremely elegantly and way above what you would have expected. When choosing a hotel that has been 'created' from a large house, it's always a little risky and a gamble, but the Stuart House exceeded my expectations.
The restaurant was elegant and the meals superb. I had dinner there and it was superb. Roasted Salmon on a bed of Fettucini infused with tomatoes and basil. My travelling campanion opted for traditional fish and chips which looked superb too. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. This is where I will stay when in Kings Lynn again, no doubt about it!
Unique Quality: In a quiet and secluded location, yet just a stroll from 'The Walks' a huge parkland area which allows you to amble into the town centre.
I also cannot stress enough about the welcoming staff and the quality of food, even at Breakfast.
Directions: In a quiet residential area that backs on to the vast open parkland of 'The Walks' one of King's Lynn's attractions.
