An unusual shot of a much photographed building
UEA. Its a campus Uni. I love a campus Uni. Some people hate campus Uni. I've lived on campus all three years. I'll miss the getting up 10 mins before lectures...hanging out in flatmates' rooms, in the kitchen...etc.
Tho it does mean half an hour away from the City, but then again, you can get most things on campus (e.g. post office, banks, food). The people I met here make the place unforgetable...*smile*
There is the most appalling one way system in Norwich City which is designed to try the patience of a saint.... Driving round and round at night trying to find this bloody restaurant.... anyway the only solution was to find a legitimate car park, go to the nearest restaurant, have a couple of drinks and order a taxi.... then a taxi back to the car and TRY to find the way out of this maze....
The City is surrounded by Park and Ride facilities, none of which operate at night, so you either spend a fortune on taxis or don't go out. I can remember back in the 1980's going out with my mate (who I went to see again this time) to a disco called Hy's and having a brilliant time. It was easy to get to, taxis were cheap and the city quite friendly.
Anyway.... once you have found the major car parks, the centre is pedestrianised so you can walk in comfort, and it really is a good shopping area. Lots of shops you can get just about anything you want.
