Our favorite curry house in Norwich is the Spice Lounge (near cathedral opposite Maids Head hotel). If you go you will understand why we call it a disco curry, the deco is a bit ott in classic tacky indian style (actually think they are bangladeshi)!. The food is a cut above the standard, its not very spicy though. Service is very good, place is clean and shiny. Its usually very busy, you often actually have to book. Portions are very large I like the Chicken Vindaloo and the Lamb rogan josh

Norwich: Capital of East Anglia

This is the largest city in East Anglia, a predominantly rural area. It's rather off the beaten tourist track, but full of history. Norwich has the two things that a major English city needs to attract visitors: a medieval castle, and a huge cathedral. If you're travelling through the eastern counties, then be sure to spend a day here. It's also an excellent base for touring this under-appreciated part of England.
