I chose this hotel because of its location...just on the edge of the old town in a pleasant suburb...The buildings are set in a recreated Victorian Town Garden and I found the young staff helpful and cheerful.I was booked for dinner elsewhere, but the breakfast was very good, including fresh local bread, cold meats and fruit as well as the usual British Breakfast fare. There's a decent bar and a night porter and the room was clean and airy. No wifi, but internet available on the reception area. Good value by English standards.
Pleasant and helpful staff, seemed happy to give directions, recommend pubs and so on.
