Hotel was clean, room was very basic overlooking delivery yard.
Not keen on the help yourself breakfast, as had to help yourself to tea and coffee and make your own toast.
Had to queue to check out and then the bombshell was dropped - you have to pay £5.00 to park in Hotel Car Park and need a token to leave.
This is a fantastic hotel for a mini break. The usual high standard facilities you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Well sized rooms, clean and tidy, impressive bar area and friendly staff.
Just on the outskirts on the shopping areas/bars/restaurants etc. All of this a mere two minute walk away.
I will stay in this hotel when I return to Harrogate.
From the reception desk to the hotel bar, the service at this hotel is first class. Upon arrival after a long journey the welcome was just what I needed. The room was perfect and extremley clean and every member of staff I came across was so friendly. After I'd organised myself I went down to the bar for a drink and a light snack The food was great and the bar staff were very chatty and the excellent service continued.
If ever I'm working in Harrogate again I would have no hesitation in staying here. EXCELLENT.
The receptionist was brilliant - hotel is also in good location for all of harrogate - handy car park at rear - 2 or 3 minute walk away. Room was usual ok holiday inn - needed some pictures - radiator was noisy all night lonng - humming away and we couldnt turn off! No health club / pool on site but is at fitness club "down the road" - in reality is 15 minute walk away - well worth going though! I have stayed in other Holiday Inn's before and breakfasts have been ok - the breakfast here wasa farce!!! The buffet was not replenished - my wife had to wait for most of the hot items - the whole thing was without exagerating like a very very bad busy motorway service station on a summer bank holiday - bottom line is could have been much better but very badly managed.
We found the Holiday Inn at Harrogate excellent, the breakfast was hot and plenty of choice, all the staff were very helpfull and friendly, the room was very clean and fresh and car parking was not a problem.
