More about Holly Grange Guest House
Great friendly place to stay
I booked this trip for a weekend getaway as I was interested in the area and particularly the local waterfall walk. I chose Holly Grange because it had received outstanding reviews. I have to say that all of the great reviews are correct. Holly Grange is a great place to stay, the owners couldn't be friendlier and are very knowledgable about the area. Large rooms, comfortable beds and excellent facilities and food! The local area is gorgeous and very relaxing!
I would absolutely recommend Holly Grange to anyone who is looking to get away for a weekend or to explore the Yorkshire Dales for a longer period and am already recommending it to friends so book quick if you don't want to miss out!
A Wonderful place to spend our wedding night!
We stayed at The Holy Grange for our wedding night and we could not have asked for more. The room was beautiful and absolutely spotless. The Personal service we received was above and beyond what we had hoped for and wayne and Bev made sure that the start of our married life together was as wonderful as the wedding day had been. We would recommend The Holy Grange to anyone who wants a high standard in a bed and breakfast.
A hidden gem in The Yorkshire Dales.
We have just returned from a fantastic break at The Holly Grange Guest House.
This guest house is a hidden gem in the Yorkshire Dales. The best guest house we have stayed in.
Our room was fantastic, very clean and modern, with great views.
Excellent facilities, a big bath to relax in after walking with large fluffy towels.
The fridge in our room was well equipped for chocolate addicts! A great addition too it ,was a jug of fresh milk for our cups of tea when we returned from a busy day walking. None of the carton milk that you would normally get.
Bev and Wayne are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them.
After returning from a very wet walk up Ingleborough, our walking gear was taken from us to be dried. The next morning they were ready for us outside our room. Including our boots.
With an excellent choice for breakfast and cooked to order it set us up for another days walking.
After commenting on The Who concerts on our first breakfast, we returned that evening to a selection of DVD's of The Who on our huge bed, for us to watch on the DVD player in our room. Another extra special touch from Bev and Wayne.
We will definately be returning.
Shirley and Paul.
Lovely, friendly guesthouse with beautifully decorated, spacious rooms, and a pretty little courtyard garden which my 6 year old loved. Wayne gave helpful tips for our walk and ensured we didn't miss the stepping stones! The highlight for my daughter was the very friendly, fluffy dog (who is not allowed in guest rooms). Highly recommended.
Best B&B by far
We arrived on the Sunday and stayed two nights. From the moment we walked through the front door nothing was too much trouble for either Bev or Wayne.
The bedroom we stayed in had a super king-size bed, plasma screen tv with freeview, a well stocked, silent running fridge that was not designed to rip you off. It contained a jug of fresh milk to compliment the tea and coffee also provided.
The room was sooo comfortable with a lovely sofa to relax on after a good day out.
Ingleton is a pleasant stroll with good pubs with good food (we liked The Craven Heffer).
We mentioned to Wayne that we fancied visiting the local waterfalls but that my wife wouldn't be able to manage the full walk. When we returned from our first day out Wayne had drawn a map of the best way to do a shortened, easier way to see the best bits and left it in our room. As I said at the start, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple.
We deliberately missed some potential visits...White Scar Cave for one...in order to have a reason to return.
Don't just take my word for it, look at the other reviews and then go and stay at Holly Grange. You will not regret it.
Home from Home
We have just returned from a mini break in the dales. Our accommodation was clean and very comfortable. The owners of the Holly Grange guest house were very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. The property is based on the edge of Ingleton village which was ideal for the Water Trail walk and easy access to good places to eat in the village.
Holly Grange is a wonderful place to stay. We found Holly Grange on Trip Adviser and couldn't believe how good the reviews were. Having stayed there we know why!
Wayne and Bev are lovely and make your stay there really special - if fact we have never met better hosts. The breakfasts are lovely, the rooms beautiful and very very spacious and the location is perfect for walking (and shopping!). I cannot recommend this B & B highly enough. (However be careful if you leave sausages and pies in the fridge in your room - they may be kidnapped!!!)
A great find .. one to recommend
A great place run by a lovely family. Stayed in the double room which is spacious, modern and well equiped. Wayne and Bev have gone to great lengths to add little touches that make the difference.
Check out the Masons Arms just up the road for food (decor isn't up to much but the food was very good) and also Dent Crafts on the Sedbugh to Dent road for a afternoon tea/ploughmans lunch.
simply the best
Just returned from Holly Grange - the rooms are huge, light and warm. The rooms have little extras which are very welcome such as freeview tv, dvd player and a mini fridge so you can keep wine/beer cold. Wine glasses are in your room ready for you as well as a corkscrew.
The owners Wayne and Bev are very friendly and helpful - Bev cooks a wicked full english. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We highly recommend this accomodation.
Huge comfortable beds
Absolutely brilliant value for money in spacious comfortable rooms with queen sized beds. decor not at all chintzy and good breakfasts. very friendly and helpful hosts.
