we stayed at the delmont august bank holiday with our four children,the rooms were immaculate and the baths and showers spotless,our breakfast was good and ample we were served almost immediately.the staff were great and on the day of our departure we were allowed to leave our luggage in the hotel so we could enjoy another full day in scarborough (mark and lisa shepherd) sheffied.

We are a bit too old and for health reasons not able to go here but this comes recommended from people we know. There are 5 zoned assault courses in this part of the forest and you climb rope ladders to move from tree to tree 40 feet above the ground.
£25 for everyone so it is not cheap and children must be 10 and over 4'7". Daily 9 - 5 but not Mondays at the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre near Thornton le Dale.
Ring first before turning up.
Past the Spa Complex is a promenade leading to some beach huts (pastel coloured huts) which can be hired out for the day or week and just above this is tea house. Perfect place for a cuppa and a cake whilst taking in the views of the bay from this elevated position.
There's plenty of 'regular' information elsewhere so I shall diversify.
Scarborough's a favourite place for bikers out on a run on any given day, there's always someone having a cuppa at the teapot cafe by Luna Park (small amusement park) and they're a friendly bunch.
Bank holidays are bursting at the seams with bikes, there was the unofficial parking on the Marine Drive but since the new sea defences were put in place 2004/5, sadly there are few parking places designated particularly for bikes.
Unfotunately we have to resort to parking where we can (see picture)
Even so crowds throng to look at the 'bikes and drool !
