Great character near the Shambles

We stayed in the Minster Suite on the top floor of the inn. The floor was slanted and creaky and we had to sleep with the curtains open and the bathroom light on (even left the light on when we went out).

We paid about £70/75 per night and it included breakfast. Comfortable bed, tv room area, weak shower and a kettle and tea in the room. I really enjoyed staying here and no ghosts were sighted. Apparently, Lady Peckett's Suite is the most haunted room to stay overnight in. Some folks have left in the middle of the night (keys on the bar counter).

Across the street from a Marks and Spencer and the Shambles. Viking Museum around the corner and shopping just down the street.

Voted "Most Haunted"

An ancient building which is mentioned in the York Archives as far back as 1503, now serves as an Inn voted 'Most Haunted' in York, England. Located across from the York's most historic street - the shambles. A great place - one of my favorite areas by far!

Accomodations range from 40 (pounds) and up. All with en-suite facilities.
