Another good B & B
I liked York so much I decided to extend my stay there an extra day, but Romley House, where I'd been the first four nights, was all booked up. However, Peter the proprietor got on the phone and found me a room at a nearby establishment, Hillcrest. It was only a five minute walk from his place, but he even gave me a lift there on the morning of my transfer!
Hillcrest was a little more expensive than Romley House, and the rooms were a little larger too. It's in a very convenient neighborhood, just across the street from a bus stop, and a wide range of shops and restaurants are nearby. On the down side, the street noise started early in the morning - and I had a front room. Buses tend to make me up. So I have to rate Hillcrest a little lower than Romley House.
