Premier Inn York Southwest
We stayed here just before Christmas last year and, for the price we paid, it was absolutely fine. Although it's situated a couple of miles outside of York city centre on the main A64 road, if you have a car it's just a few minutes drive to the park & ride where you can leave your car and take the bus into the city (no parking or traffic jam headaches). As usual for Premier Inns, the room was clean.
Despite few guests the restaurant service was fully operational, the staff were friendly and fairly efficient and our meal was fine.
Unique Quality: Not exactly the most attractive of locations (ie the middle of nowhere beside a busy dual-carriageway) right next to the hotel is a McDonalds and a 24-hour garage.
