Romley House reminded me of the excellent B & Bs I remember from my early travelling days in England, in the early to mid 1980s. Good, clean accomodation in real house, with breakfast catered to what you want, not to what the kitchen feels like serving you. Very good value for the money, and the owner/proprietor is considerate and helpful.
Our hosts Carol and Peter Harding made us felt at home in every way they could in their very special family run guest house.
The Romley House is registered with the English Tourist Board with three diamonds classification with the following amenities: double glazing and full central heating throughout (hot water is always available). En-suite rooms available and all rooms are equipped with colour television, hospitality tray, wash hand basin and razor point. Some rooms have private showers.
There is a comfortable lounge with satellite television, complimentary tea and coffee plus a licensed bar.
Renowned for their famous pictorial and ceramic clown collection.
Directions: Situated on the west side of the city, Romley House is within ten minutes walking distance to the railway station, racecourse and city centre.
