Northampton is a market town that is famous for shoe making. The River Nene ( the locals pronounced it Nan ) runs through it. The town has a population of just about 200.000 but it looked big to me. It is located in the East Midlands about 108 km away from London. Some people may also remember that Princess Diana's family home is not too far away. Diana herself paid the town a visit in 1989. I quite like it in Northampton as my boy-friend was originally born and raised in there. It has some nice green space as there is a huge park in Abington which I would like to explore further one day.
a monument who reminds of the town's shoe making history
Right downtown. I enjoyed the market and even found a nice hoodie for my son. i found out to my disappointment that most of the stands are supposed to disappear which really is a shame..:
