"The Cobblers" is the club nickname, the area was once the home of British boot and shoe manufacturing, sadly little left now as foreign imports are cheaper. Anyway, back to the football, while I'm not able to attend as many games as I used to (I used to be a safety steward for several seasons) I still go fairly often.
Season 2006/7 sees the Cobblers in Division 1 of the Football League, so, a reasonable standard of play should be on offer.
Their home ground, the Sixfields Stadium, is modern but not really big enough to allow the club to progress much further. Talk of ground extensions are ongoing. Cameras and bottles are not allowed inside, take a look at the list outside the stadium to see what else you can't tale inside. It is likely you will be searched as you enter - all part of the fun!
