Haltwhistle, Centre of Britain!!!
"Welcome!!"
Welcome to the village of Haltwhistle in Northumberland. I moved here 6 months go and fell in love with the whole area. Haltwhistle is famous for its claim as being the centre of Britain, and is also very well situated for all the fabulous Hadrians wall, and Roman sites along the way. The town is very clean, friendly and just very welcoming. Everyone has time to chat and help you out. The town also holds several walking festivals during the year and is a great mecca for hikers, and outdoorsy folk. The irony of this is not lost on me as walking is something I dont do!
