The Bamburgh Castle Hotel: Northumbria's finest Views

This hotel must have the finest views of any on this coastline.
We sat at breakfast, and evening meal with a perfect view of the harbour and the Farne Islands.
The bar and restaurant are very smart with nice oak panelling and chesterfields to relax in after your meal, speaking of which the food was excellent, not the largest of menu choices, but just the right amount to work through, with the most delicious Creme Brulee ive ever had!! The wine list was very varied with a lot of choice to suit all budgets we did splurge on our last night.
Our room had a good view over the harbour too, and was a good size (although this was a family room we had booked so possibly others are smaller)
The most impressive aspect of this hotel though by far was the staff, the most friendly unpretentious staff weve ever encountered in a 3 star hotel, ready to hand with local info when we needed it and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them, having seen them dealing with some very difficult guests on our 1st night. All staff seemed very hands on which no doubt contributes to the general good feeling.
We asked to go on the mailing list as we definatley want to return, we were told that the hotel does some really good offers out of season one we couldnt believe was 4 nights diner, bed and breakfast for only 129 pounds per person
