Sherwood Forest YH: YHA in the centre of Sherwood Forest!

Not stayed here, (as my parents home is very near) but has excellent references!

Modern purpose built Youth Hostel. Opened in 1998, on the site of the old Coal Board Laboratories, overlooking the cricket pitch and forest. Built at a cost of £650,00, this hostel employs the latest environmentally friendly green technology

High Standard of en suite family accom.
Family rooms 2-5 bedded, cots, high chairs available

single and double beds

possible to rent out for groups

self catering or meal service, with under 10's menu..whatever was cooking smelt great, when I popped in to get info on this place!!

Attractive building, eco friendly.
An underground sump stores rainwater for flushing toilets. The hostels roof is insulated with recycled newspaper. Heating is controlled by computer

Lots of useful info leaflets/ flyers for things to do in area

Shops nearby if self catering..Co Op supermarket, local butchers,deli, bakery, Lime Tree pie shop, take aways (fish n chips/chinese/indian). Tesco supermarket in Ollerton
