Meet at the Left Lion by raquelitalarga
The Old Market Square is where you'll find City Hall with the lions on the front steps. The Left Lion is a traditional Nottingham meeting point and is also the name of a free 'whatson' magazine. In 2007 Gustafson Porter's winning design for the square was finished (bar a few problems with the water feature) and, although not popular with all, I love it. There is now seems to be an 'event' going on in the square every other day and the monthly farmers market is real success. It's a great place to sit and people watch on (occasional) sunny days and kids love playing in the jets of water. Sadly the 'Nottingham Eye' has been dismantled but hopefully the wheel will be back.
