Considering the The Nottingham Belfry in Nottingham?

Nottingham Castle by Tom_Fields
Nottingham Castle is a large manor home, built in the 17th century. Constructed over the original castle, it inherited the name. But, unlike its forebear, this one was built for comfort more than defense. It houses a fine museum of medieval weapons, crafts, and fine arts. It was here that King Charles I raised his royal standard against Parliament, beginning the English Civil War.
To explore the earlier history of this place, take a tour of the tunnels and caves beneath. I didn't get to, but it must be worth doing.
