Busy & Scenic...

Burford lies about 20 miles west of Oxford; It is a busy town & also regarded as yet another gateway to THE COTSWOLDS !
This photo was taken along The High Street in Burford.
We could see many buildings as they were hundred years ago ! Just the sights make me feel glee all over !
Some of these buildings are residential buildings, some are restaurants & pubs, shops etc etc.

Burford - Gateway to the Cotswolds

Burford is one of the busiest villages in the Cotswolds: its High Street is lined with pubs, souvenir and clothes shops, tourists are strolling up and down, and most of the traffic to the Cotswolds passes through the village. This makes it less enjoyable compared to the quieter Cotswolds villages, but on the other hand a good starting point in case you still need food or clothes for your tour.

By Road - On A 361 road; from Oxford, Swansbrook Company runs 4 buses a day to Burford, via Witney.
The journey is about 45 minutes.

By Rail - The nearest train station would be in Shipton, about 7 km away.
