Aquila Heights: Anonymous Little BnB

My two nights at Aquila Heights were just fine. Toilet was just across the hall, minimizing my sense of exposure going to and from my very affordable single room. Located just a mile from Maiden Castle and less than two miles from downtown, it was suitably central. My room was clean and comfortable. The hot water was hot, as was breakfast. Parking is on-site and the place is easy to find, since it's on the same road as the biggest historical site in the area.

BTW: Aquila Heights is named after the Roman Aquila (eagle) that was found atop the parade poles of Vespasian's legions. It's likely that the Romans camped very close to the site during their seige of Maiden Castle.

The part-time maid at Aquila Heights was quite beautiful. ;0)
