Chicks and hens

Gorgeously Georgian! An exceptionally exsquisite place to stay in Beautiful Bath. Ten Chicks on a Hen were treated like Princesses during a wonderful weekend at Grovesnor Lodge. Thanks Colin for being a fabulous host.

Colin the owner of Grosvenor Lodge was a friendly and likeable character. He was an excellent host and a accomplished cook. The decor of his home was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Anyone staying here could not fail to have a wonderful stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night at the Grosvenor Lodge over the May bank holiday and it was perfect. The rooms were spacious and clean and Colin was a welcoming host. If we ever go back to Bath in the future, we know where we will be staying!!

We visited Bath, the last weekend in May for Kat's birthday. As it was a last minute plan we were really pleased to find Colin at Grosvenor Lodge able to book us for one night.

The accomodation was superb, the room was fantastic and was beautifully furnished, as was the rest of the house. The lounge and dining room was really nicely presented and our breakfast in the morning was spot on.

The guest house is within easy walking distance of the town centre and all the things to do and see including the Roman Baths, the Crescent and the Therme Spa.

Many Thanks to Colin for our lovely stay and would definately stay here again!!

Wonderful Find

We stayed at Grosvenor Lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we phoned to book, Colin, the boss, was very pleasant and helpful. On arrival the welcome was really warm and Colin proved to be a fount of knowledge on all things local. The bedroom was wonderful – very clean – and decorated delightfully. The bathroom was well appointed and scrubbed to the same high standard. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented and sitting at the amazing table laid with genuine crystal and silverware was a real treat. There is a wonderful sitting room for guests with huge sofas and in the evening Colin sat and chatted to us as if we were long lost friends, treating us more like members of his family than paying guests. The town is a level 20 minute walk away and for the less energetic there is a bus stop right outside with a regular service into the city centre. I have stayed in many establishments around the world and I know what I am talking about - this one is an absolute find.

Just a quick reveiw to let everyone know how much me and my girlfriend enjoyed our stay at the grosvenor lodge last weekend. we decided to have a nice weekend away and were recommended this bnb and we were certainly not let down!

The room we stayed in was spacious and clean and had everything we wanted from nice tv to comfortable bed. there is also a spacious and relaxing dining/longue area which was nice to relax in after a long long day shopping!

Finally breakfast in the morning was top draw as there was a choice of either a full english or continental breakfast with choice of fruit and cold or warm drinks.

If we are ever in bath again we will definitley be paying the grosvenor lodge another visit!

A room with a view

Two ladies in desperate need of rest and relaxation couldn't believe their luck when they entered Grosvenor Lodge and were warmly greeted by Colin. A fabulous place to stay with the most comfortable of beds. You won't want to get up in the mornings and when you finally do you can linger over breakfast putting the world to rights with your congenial host, Colin. We know where we will be staying when we visit Bath again. Thanks Colin for a really hospitable stay.

Georgian Splendour in Bath

Great place to stay very handy for bus stop or only a short walk to the city centre. Colin the host was very friendly, nothing too much trouble. He was full of great advice. The breakfasts were superb, with lovely rooms and crisp white bedding. Highly recommended a must stay.

No need for long boring review, just wanted to say best in Bath by far, would be a shame to book anything else and miss out on this gem A+.

A: "There are indeed Park & Ride facilities and I would strongly recommend using them. Bath streets were designed for carriages not cars! Some are now pedestrianised, others..."
