More about The Bath House Luxury Bed and Breakfast

Perfect place to stay

by TripAdvisor Member batten1981

I booked a weekend as a luxury treat and wasn't disappointed at the Bath House. A lovely room with lovely breakfast served in it in the morning. Also in an ideal location, only a few minutes walk from the Royal Cresent and from the city centre.

Best of Bath

Fantastic loctaion right in the heart of Bath with parking! We arrived on Friday evening and didn't use our car agaim until leaving on Monday morning. Breakfast was brought to our room. Lovely luxury, great choice. Rooms are very nicely furnished and our bed was fabulously comfortable - a king size too. We stay in Bath about twice a year and now know where we'll be staying in the future.

Good Old Trip Advisor!

by TripAdvisor Member fulltimemum880

We read the reviews of The Bath House on Trip Advisor and thought it looked a good & popular place to stay. We weren't disappointed. A really great B&B, just 4 rooms very central in Bath. Not noisy and with free parking. We were served full English breakfast in our room while preparing for our days out. The weather only added to the joy of our trip. If you're going to Bath we couldn't recommend the Bath House highly enough.

Great place to stay

Just got back from a lovely 2 night stay in Bath. Arrived into Bath Spa train station about 9.00pm. There are an abundance of taxis pulling up at the station so don't worry about how to get to the hotel. The journey is about 5 minutes to The Bath House and costs about £5. Well worth it if you have luggage and not sure where you are going.

The Bath House is in a fantastic location as you can walk to just about everywhere. The owners are friendly and welcoming but not in your face and the Hotel itself is immaculate.

5 of us stayed, my husband and I were in room 2, this is very spacious, with a flat screen television, VERY comfortable bed and a bathroom decorated like a roman spa!

The other couple with us were in room 1 which has a four poster bed this also gave them a good nights sleep. They did have the advantage over us of having an upright shower in their bath, but as we only stayed a few nights that wasn't a problem as we had a shower attachment in ours.

Lastly our single friend had room 4 which is on the top floor, this has no bath but a good shower and again a comfy bed.

We asked the owners if they minded chilling a bottle of champagne as we were celebrating the lads birthdays which they were more than willing to do. A lovely surprise for us when we came back Saturday night was a box of chocolates from them wishing them a happy birthday.

We ate at Rajpoot Indian on Friday night and Browns on Saturday. The service and food in both was excellent and we would recommend them.

Trips to try and do include,
A boat trip down the river. We used the one that lets you drive into the weir for a photo at the end. Our guide was a man who obviously loved his job, didn't stop talking and even lets you have a go at steering the boat.

The Thermo Spa was ok, though really just two swimming pools, one inside one outside and a few steam rooms. This was £20 for 2 hours and whilst nice to do, prob not really worth the money.

The Roman Baths were well worth a visit with your own audio machines to listen to.

Hope this helps, we had a fabulous time and can thoroughly recommend Bath and especially The Bath House.

The Best of Bath!

We had great stay here. Run by nice people who made us feel at home. We had a fun time with all the creature comforts and a great position, no hills to climb and 2 mins to the centre!

Simply Fabulous!

We found the Bath House on the web while planning our trip to Bath. After the mandatory review checking on Tripadvisor we decided to book for a long weekend. We were not disappointed.

The proximaty of the The Bath House to all the main sites and facilities is excellent and meant there was no big logistical planning needed for our days visting the sites /shopping etc and certainly no need for a taxi, bus or car , when heading to eat in the evenings...a nice easy 5 min walk and it's all there. Our room (1) was deligtful.Massive bath with shower that sprays from all directions and v comfy 4 poster. Super clean and very elegantly furnished.

Highlights of our trip, and recommended are;

The city bus tour...good fun and a nice way to orienate yourself .
A tour of the Roman Baths...very enjoyable.
Little Theatre Cinema...charming old picure house showing some off-beat world cinema. ...it was perfect for our one rainy day.
Hot chocolate at the Minerva chocolate shop...delicious!
Il Toca Italia(?) wonderful Italian with the best of views.

Go to Bath and you must stay in the Bath House!

Great everything!

2 - Choice of breakfast delivered to your room at a time convenient for you.
3 - Really clean room & bathroom
4 - Great selection of drinks in the room with fresh milk in a flask.
5 - Umbrallas by the front door to use on rainy days.
6 - Discount for paying in cash.

If you want a relaxing stay where you don't have to drag yourself out of bed for breakfast then stay here. It is clean, modern and in a great location.

100% & More!

We decided to take a mid-week break in Bath to avoid the crowds, and had a very enjoyable time. We got our visit off on the right note by staying at the Bath House. Having visited the web site before hand, we can confirm that "it does exactly what it says on the tin". Very nicely situated a few minutes from all key sites, very nice friendly atmosphere and very well presented room; makes a great staging post for enjoying the city.

Our first day was mainly spent visiting the new spa. Worth a visit but even in the week the pool was busy, but does have very nice roof top views. In the evening we fancied a curry and took the recommendation to go to the Eastern Eye - very highly regarded by the locals and it did not disappoint.

Day two was mainly a shopping bonanza (yes!), there are some nice independent shops in the arcadades that are nice to stumble across. We also took time to do one of the bus tours and thought it was fun. DInner in the evening was at Waggamamas( ?) - ok but not great food or service.

We'll be back to Bath and will certainly stay at the Bath House.
