The green lungs in the golden city of Bath. Victoria Park wears its Botanical Gardens like a floral crown. Besides offering a tot lot, a duck pond and the fairgrounds, it also serves as the launch site for hot air balloon flights. Pictured here is the gate just above Queen Square. For a spectacular entrance or exit point, look for the pair of gates and obelisk located further north, at the foot of Marlborough Lane.
This is a closer view of the walls of The Bath Abbey...We could see the adorning pillars, the windows; Too bad that I didn't have the chance to see inside the abbey because of the timing when I reached Bath; At least I have these photos as my memories viewing the abbey through my digital camera lense...
This restaurant is situated inside the vaults under George Street, so it gives the restaurant a very cosy feel, especially with the fire going in the fireplace. I felt the menu was somewhat limited in choice, but the food portions were reasonable and nicely presented. Seems to be a fairly popular restaurant - we went on a Sunday evening, and the tables were steadily filling up.
On our second night in Bath we just wanted something light without walking too far from our hotel. We stumbled across Crystal Palace and were glad we did. The atmosphere is what we found to be "pub" and the staff was extremely friendly. This was our first meal where we learned about ordering at the bar and knowing your table number. The waiters took great care of us and taught us the ropes. The restaurant was full of locals and we were made to feel right at home. I enjoyed fish and chips with mushy peas and my husband had the meat pie. Both dishes were large and filling. We enjoyed a few pints while we waited for the rain to stop and were never made to feel rushed.

Q: Parking in Bath,Somerset "Hi all 1) Are there Park and Ride facilities in and around Bath? 2) If we want to spend the day (or best part of) in the centre..."
A: "There are indeed Park & Ride facilities and I would strongly recommend using them. Bath streets were designed for carriages not cars! Some are now pedestrianised, others..."
