A great place to stay in Bath
by A TripAdvisor Member
The Henry is a great place to stay in Bath. Close to the train station and town centre (a few minutes to each) its location is excellent. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The shared bathroom was fine and I believe only shared amongst two or three rooms. Sue was extremely helpful, providing plenty of useful information on where to eat and visit. I would definitely recommend The Henry. It is excellent value for money.
Comfortable and clean

Stayed at The Henry for two days and found the rooms to be comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the location is very close to the train station. I would definitely stay again on a visit to Bath.
Fabulous venue

The Henry was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Sue and Derek were so helpful - even letting us leave our baggage with them after our stay was over. The rooms were cosy and the breakfast was lovely. It was very central to everywhere we wanted to go in Bath - the joke was that everything was 5 minutes away.
The Place to stay in Bath

We really enjoyed The Henry in Bath. It is very close to the Train station - easy walking distance with luggage. The hosts were amazing...they were there to take care of us and make sure we had a great experience in Bath. There is a fair amount of street noise so they provide you with some ear plugs...nice touch. Great place to stay in a GREAT little town.
Lovely B&B in Great Location

Not sure whether we would stay in Bath very long, we only initially committed to one night at The Henry. We wound up staying a full week. The Henry has a great location, within easy walking distance of all the sights, shopping, and train and bus stations. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We only see the other guests at breakfast, which is delicious. The owners are eager to meet any request. They made some great activity recommendations.
Hospitable Henry

The Henry is THE place to stay. Close to town - a real 3 minutes to the railway station - not the usual exaggeration. Sue and Derek are chatty, welcoming and very knowledgeable about Bath and the surrounds. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and also surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to town. Your food fads are catered to with patience and humour.

Perfect in every way

Bath is a charming Georgian city with much to see and do and a "must visit" for Jane Austen fans. My business partner and I had the good fortune to spend four days at The Henry at the beginning of February '06. You need search no further for lodgings as The Henry is everything you could possibly want. Our room was large, charming and spotless with comfortable beds and extra pillows and blankets provided. The shared bathrooms were also spotless and always available with plenty of hot water at all hours. The included English breakfast is individually prepared and so ample that we seldom paused for lunch. The location is ideal; steps to many excellent restaurants and a mere two or three minute walk to both the bus depot and the train station. What really makes The Henry so wonderful are the owners, Sue and Derek, who are delightful and full of information about Bath and the surrounding area. I recommend The Henry wholeheartedly and enthusiastically.
Wonderful visit

The Henry House was excellent. We had two college-age daughters on Spring Break with us. We were a little concerned that the site said "shared bathroom" but we had rooms 1 (2 twins) and 2 (double). Those rooms and the split bathroom (sink and toilet and separate shower) were all that was on our floor. It worked out beautifully - plus there was a sink and vanity in the rooms.
Wonderfully clean, friendly owners happy to share any info about this great city, quiet, great breakfast, great location in walking distance to the historic sites. If we ever get back to Bath, we would definitely stay here!
Excellent with wireless network

My wife, son and I got to Bath with no reservations on a Wednesday night. We saw the sign and knocked at the door. The owner, Sue, let us see the room. We did not have a private bath but there was a sink in the room. The common bathrooms were clean as was the room. There was a single bed and double which worked well for us. The repairmen were just finishing up fixing the wireless network. Within a short period the wireless network was up and running.
The location was outstanding, Sue pointed out that we could park our car in the ramp across the street overnight until about 8 am for no charge. But we made sure that we had some time on the ticket as we wanted to see the city that morning.
Breakfast was very good. Sue was very helpful in finding things in the city. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend, especially at the price.
