More about Three Abbey Green

Freindly retreat

by TripAdvisor Member efarm

After several arduous days on the road, we stumbled upon Three Abbey Green fairly late at night.

The freindly staff and welcoming decor made us instanly relax and allowed us to refresh and recuperate.

Right in the centre of this beautiful city, the lovely old guesthouse has fresh decor and modern clean conveniences and lots of homely touches.

Derek and staff were very friendly and helpful..would have loved to stay longer.

Three Abbey Green - Bath - Highly Recommended GuestHouse

Stayed at Three Abbey Green at the end of January for two nights. Searched extensively for accommodation and noted Abbey Green was listed as number 1 on TripAdvisor so decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. Stayed in the Lord Nelson suite which was same price per night as a hotel room with more facilities so seemed quite high cost initially but was certaintly worth the money. Spoke to Sue initially who was very helpful on the phone, discussed the rooms available, recommendations for dinner, advice on parking. When arrived Bernadette was there, again extremely helpful gave us advice on local bars and pointed us in the right direction of the restaurant. Couldnt do enough to help. Very large room with living area, fantastic king size bed which was extremely comfortable. Only niggle if anything was the noise from the street but this was minimal and I didnt notice on the second night, also ear plugs were provided. Could not get a better location, breakfast was plentiful, varied and tasteful. Would be nice if did breakfast till 10.00am but 9.30am is perfectly reasonable. Overall fantastic location, fantastic accommodation, fantastic breakfast and fantastic service, highly recommended and pleasant guesthouse.

Fantastic break

Its taken me some time to write my review, but have been feeling guilty about not writing.
My 3 friends and I came for a shopping trip in bath and stayed at the delightful Three Abbey Green Hotel. We loved everything. From the moment we arrived we were escorted from the car park to our rooms, we were given maps and local information, and a joke or two about us Essex girls emptying the shops.
Our hosts were brilliant, the service we received made our weekend and we will come back.

Oooh, the breakfast was lovely!!!

Wonderful, Clean, Helpful, Great Location!

by A TripAdvisor Member

We located the B&B through the web and were not sure what to expect because pictures always look great on the internet...but the place was fantastic and the staff was wonderful. We had a GREAT experience here for two nights--would go again in a heartbeat. The room was very spacious and clean, the bathroom the same. Privacy was great, the location was perfect--in a quiet square yet 30 seconds from the Roman Baths and 10 seconds from at least two great places to eat--which the staff helpfully recommends! Had access to internet for the first time (email family) and breakfast was perfect (fruits, cereals, jucies, eggs, toast, etc.). Staff was warm and ready to help! Great place. Thanks for the fun!!

Lovely Stay and great hosts

My husband and I stayed at Three Abbey Green at the beginning of a two week visit to England and Scotland. We've just returned home and want to let everyone we can know what a lovely place it is.

Just off the plane from Atlanta, Georgia, the train from Gatwick and somewhat "jetlagged"... we were welcomed into a warm, clean and spacious room where we could relax immediatley. The bed was very comfortable, there was a good shower and internet access just outside the breakfast room. The next morning, we were fed a lovely breakfast and sent off for a day of exploring the city of Bath. The location is perfect in the heart of the city and Sunday morning we were awakened to the concert of bells from The Abbey. Our hosts were helpful and fun and made the 4 day stay extra special. We are happy highly to recommend Three Abbey Green.

Great Central Location, Great Staff A1 Experience

by A TripAdvisor Member

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Three Abbey Green with my two sons. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel's location is great -- right in the center of Bath and convenient to tours and attractions. Yet it is set on a quiet courtyard so it feels private and intimate. Derek and staff are helpful and attentive. Try his smoked salmon and eggs -- what a treat!! Having access to a computer with internet connection right off the breakfast room made it so easy to keep in touch with home and also look up sights, attractions and tours -- without leaving the premises. So convenient! The rooms were spacious, clean and very well appointed. I'd highly recommend and am definitely looking foward to a return trip very soon.

Loved Three Abbey Green so much, we stayed an extra night.

After a short walk from the Bath Spa train station, we stepped into another time while staying at Three Abbey Green in Bath, England. Greeted by Maria, the Asst Manager and soon there after met Derek, one of the owners. Our room, The Lord Nelson, was huge, filled with light and overlooking a darling square. Great restaturants were right around the corner as was the Bath Abbey and The Roman Baths. Our children (12,10) stayed upstairs in another darling and spacious room until we all moved the next night into the Asher Suite. The beds were divine in all the rooms and we all agreed both Three Abbey Green and Bath were the highlight of our trip. Don't miss dinner at onefishtwofish, highly recommended by Derek and we agreed as we had dinner there twice. Kids loved both Tilleys and Sally Lunns as well. We even day tripped into London as the train was also a highlight and only 90 minutes.

Lovely, Charming Three Abbey Green

We have just returned from visiting our daughter in Bath, England. Being a student there she didn't know where to suggest staying, so she looked into a few places and came upon the Three Abbey Green.. Boy, she hit it right! What a charming place. We were greeted with helpful, smiling faces. They couldn't do enough for us. The room was quite large with beautiful linens on a four poster bed. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The entire place is spotless! Maria (the new manager) greeted us in the morning with a traditional english breakfast and warm conversation. She even got up early on our departure day and insisted on making us a farewell breakfast. We would highly reccommend this B & B to everyone and we hope to return soon.
