The bus tour
by HeidiR
I have never been on the bus tour, but it seems to go all round town, you can get on and off as you feel like so probably a good way to see the city. It certainly goes through Laura Place, through town and up Bathwick hill from there I have no idea New years eve everyone crowds round the cathedral to count down the new year, the strange thing is they turn off the bells, so everyone is out of time
Tea & Scones

Enjoy a cream tea or light lunch at this family run tearoom in a georgian townhouse.
There are many little tearooms around Bath some with gardens & it may be a better & cheaper alternative to finding an restaurant.

Just Outside of Bath
by greebo
Just outside of Bath is Claverton Manor with ornamental garden (a replica of George Washington's garden) and an American museum and has a reconstruction of a farmhouse tavern also on display is african/american art. Also visit the Bath Postal Museum where the first postage was sent from. Prior park and Dyrham park are all well worth a visit as many was landscaped by such designers as Capability Brown.
The Red City Tour Hop on and Off Bus

To get where you want and have some inside information on the town, it's adviseable to take this bus. It takes you along a certain touristic route through Bath.
Meanwhile a guide gives detailed information about the town. After you finish the tour it is best to walk around the town yourselve.
Just hop on the bus....
Nicest bar/restaurant in Bath
by tomruth78 about Ha Ha Bar
This restaurant is for adults over 21 only, so already a plus point. The bar is built into a recentrly renovated Tram Shed with expensive apartments above. The layout is casual with lounging leather seats and large tables at lounding height. Then there is the restaurant area that has leather backed sofas running down one of the walls. The place is modern and spacies, compaired to a lot of places in Bath.
If you want to eat on a weekend evening, I would recommend making a booking to ensure you get a table in the restaurant area. The food is fantastic, I tend to order a few starters rather than the mains, you have everything from traditional Sunday lunch to all day breakfasts. I adore the HaHa Mezzes. Something to def try.
