Royal Pier Hotel

This once-grand hotel is now being run into the ground and operated by a skeleton staff, apparently while the owner makes plans to demolish and build flats on its great location. We got no hot water, the most basic of food and service and a room thoroughly stained with damp.

I recently attended my parents Golden Wedding celebration at this hotel. The management and staff were rude and unprofessional. The service was disorganised and the attitude of the management was " so what!"Customer service is a concept that has never even entered the current owners head.

They deceived my parents into thinking they would provide the perfect day. Instead they did their best to ruin an otherwise perfect day.I am so sad for my mum and dad, not only for the money they have spent,but their own personal upset at the treatment they received.On canvassing other local residents on their opinion of the hotel since our stay,they too have compounded the appauling lack of service and rudeness of management. It appears that customer service is the furthest thing from their minds.

Please do not make the same mistake

Our party was more than pleased with this hotel, the accomodation was more than adequate with all facilites that you would need, the food was some of the best we have ever tasted, hats off to the chefs, they certainly know how to cook !!
The hotel i believe is under new ownership and you can certainly mark the differences, we first stayed here in 2005 and it was not very much to write home about, but we decided to give it another go this year and glad we did, i would recommend this place to anyone now!

Unique Quality: Great Views over the sea!!

we did not like this hotel , it is nothing like it tells you on its web site the outside is rundown, you feel you are being followed around , the stairs feel unsafe it is dark in the hallways some of the rooms have mould in the shower rooms so we will not be going back there.
