DONCASTER RUGBY
DONCASTER KNIGHTS play in National Division One. They won promotion to that level in April 2005. Their last promotion was the 8th in fifteen seasons of league rugby! An incrdible achievement in English rugby. In August 2006 the decision was made to rename as the DONCASTER KNIGHTS. This is an excellent family day out. Their ticket prices are quite reasonable and they run busses to all away matches. They also pride themselves on their catering – before and after matches. As they say themselves “Hand pulled Tetley's Bitter washes our famous Cow Pie down very nicely!”
Their new clubhouse was opened in October 2001 following the award of a £1.8 million grant from the National Lottery. They now have to six pitches on thier 20 acre site. Parking is free.
