NOT a place for a romantic weekend: most (48) rooms are twin beds (badly) pushed together, middle sinks and has hard ledge, badly made bed - sheets came off and only one sheet directly on mattress with very, very thin douvet in middle of winter. Cold room with a portable heater.
My partner was so disappointed from the expectations raised on website, so up-graded, to..just a colder, bigger room.
Decor had seen better days. Bobbly old cushions I wouldn't leave in a kids' playroom. Windows in shabby condition. Nothing said luxury. No dressing gowns. Bathroom was not as big as you'd find in a Travel Lodge.
LONG wait at the bar, mix up with our meal booking (well, reception didnt tell restaurant). Food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast VERY average.
Reception staff were disinterested and dismissive: didnt ask about our stay. I wonder why? A waste of £170, didn't say luxury at all. We both said it was better at the Park Inn - Rotherham (value for money and breakfast).
Unique Quality: Seen better days.
