One of Englands Largest Chain Hotels

The Premier Chain has hundreds of hotels in England. They are not great destination hotels, but more like the Holiday Inn Express style of hotel. The rooms are plain, but clean and functional. If you are not lookng for a great 5 star destination, these will do. They are part of the Whitbread Family of hotels. Don't you just love the British names?

There is no pool, but who needs it? I is always cool and rainy here.

Unique Quality: This is one of the first hotels in the area that has wireless internet available. That's the main reason I chose it. Most people choose it for its proximity to the Arena. In fact, I couldn't get in on Friday night due to the "Simply Red" concert in the Arena. As hotels go, it is not up to Holiday Inn standards, but it is adequate as a place to stay.

The internet connection is a Wifi connection. The signal was good, but the price is very high and the policy is not so good. First, the rate was 3 GBP for 2 hours or 10GBP ($18) for 24. The policy is, as soon as you log in, time starts to count down. If you buy a 24 hour card and log in at 6:00 PM, your time will expire at 6:00 PM the next day, no matter how much or little you use it!

The hotel has a pay first policy. That is, if you stay for a week, you pay when you arrive. Want the full breakfast? Pay up-front! A very unusual concept in this day.

The price 50 GBP per night is over $80 USDper night. Quite expensive due to the bad exchange rate. By US standards, it is not worth that much.
