OLD & TIRED (but it works)
OK, so it is really in Stoke-on-Trent. I first stayed here in 1995 and it has not changed that much. The hotel has been renovate, but some sections do not look it. The fabric of the building is old and tired. For sheer conveenince, especially for a business traveller, this is a decent hotel. I would not however recommend it as a holiday hotel. It is located just off Junction 15 of the M6. It has some nice amenities like a swimming pool and you can get an OK meal at Traders restaurant. Other than that, do not get to excited. Rooms are clean and comforatble, but you can hear doors slam. This is a great hotel to meet people in this area of the country.
For Busines travellers this is a good hotel. You can get an ice cold beer in the Lounge Bar and have a relaxing dip in the (small) pool. They also have a small whirlpool for those tired muscles.
This is part of the Holiday Inn network of hotels and you can join the ‘Priority Club’ Rewards programme for free hotle stays.
