Marina, Orwell Bridge and river

The marina is situated on the edge of the town. From here you are able to walk towards the famous bridge, and you will be able to appreciate it's beauty and size when you stand underneath.
When travelling from the coast of Felixstowe towards Ipswich, Bury St.Edmunds and on to Norwich in Norfolk, you will undoubtedly come across the famous Ipswich Orwell Bridge spanning across the River Orwell.
In the evenings as you walk along the river you may catch sight of the wonderful sunsets we have, and watch the tides rise and ebb as the hours go by. Something for the romantics of this world!
St Mary le Tower

The Victorian parish church of St Mary le Tower dominates the town centre. This beautiful church is the town's largest. A church has stood on this site since at least the time of the Norman invasion of 1066. The present one dates back to 1850.

An hour away from London...was there for New Years Day and not much was going on. There were a couple pubs here and there, but for the most part everything was closed when I visited some friends who live there.

A: "The direct train takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Off peak, single is £14 during the week. It depends on when you want to travel. A bus ticket might be cheaper, but at £14..."
