The Tourist Information Centre in Ipswich was situated in the lovely medieval building of St. Stephen's church, the picture was taken looking from inside the centre towards the entrance.

I especially liked the stained glass window. At the bottom right hand corner, you can just see a font. I have shown it in close up in the next tip.

You be a stranger

No matter how long you live in Ipswich you will always be a stranger. Maybe it is the history of this part of the UK being invaded that make then wary of strangers, I don't know.
There are certainly re-necked and uncosmopolitan now.

Ronald "Carl" Giles and "Grandma"

Giles was a famous British cartoonist and maybe Ipswich's most famous son. Although he was not born in Ipswich, he spent most of his time there and was - of course - also a supporter of the local football team. But unlike Sir Alfred Ramsey, the statue dedicated to him does not show the artist. It is a bronze figure of Giles' cartoon character "Grandma", who was maybe the most popular of them. Giles was still alive when the figure was unveiled in the 1990s, but was already bound to a wheelchair. He also first objected against such a monument, but later allowed it to be placed under the condition that no tax money should be wasted on it. Giles died in 1995 at the age of 78.

Here is the result of my work.
15 days living with two clones like MASCACHAPAS and TONY it was like be in a nightmare in stereo and the radio never turn off, very talkative isn’t enough for Tony.
...
In the Tony’s Hotel the visitors will have conversation and don’t worry you don’t have to speak anything Tony will do for both. Be careful don’t try understand to Tony only look him and smile the jokes.
